Hi, I am Dr. Akash Maheshwari, Disaster Veterinary Officer at World Animal Protection India
Dr. Akash Maheshwari has been working with World Animal Protection from last 7 years and has experience of more than 10 years as a veterinarian. He gained his graduation and post-graduation in veterinary science from Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Science – Bikaner. Before joining world animal protection he was based at Veterinary medicine department in Rajasthan Veterinary University Bikaner.
He has the experience to work in a different disaster such as earthquake, flash flood, cyclone, floods drought. He took part and lead the team in relief work during a widespread drought in Maharashtra (India) and Uttrakhand (India) flash flood, Nepal earthquake, Srilanka flash flood, and Assam floods, etc. Recently he has finished flood intervention from the northeastern part of India and Kerala floods 2019.
